Research: The purpose of this research was to understand Bose user interactions and how they use their Bose devices in their daily life.
Approach:
Step1: Teamed up with the Data Insights team to gather one month of usage data of all the registered users for a specific Bose product.
Step 2: Identified major segments using cluster analysis and further analyzed how these identified segments used their Bose products including weekly and daily usage, content services used, listening hours per day, hardware and app interactions, etc.
Step 3: Created a hypothesis based on the data.
Step 4: Validated hypothesis with user interviews.
Outcome: User personas based on the usage characteristics and behavior.
